With Kiwi, it's easy to make your Tableau reports more impactful and drive more usage of both Tableau and Slack. You can send scheduled reports via Slack or E-Mail and enable your team to pull any reports themselves straight out of Slack.

What you get with Kiwi

  • A tool to create automated reports that can be pushed to any Slack channel or person.

  • Automatically distribute reports via e-mail.

  • Enable your team to search and pull any Tableau report into Slack without leaving the Slack app.

How to set up Kiwi initially

Step 1: Install the Kiwi Slack Client
Click 'Add to Slack' on our website to get started with Kiwi. We will automatically generate your account based on the details your Slack account provides us.

Step 2: Connect your Tableau (Server or Online)
Click on 'Connect Tableau' within your Kiwi Account and use your Tableau credentials to establish the connection between Tableau and Kiwi.

Step 3: Define permissions
Understand that Kiwi has a two-level approach to permissions to ensure data security. Head to your User Settings first to assign roles and then create Teams to grant access to Tableau views on a more granular level.

Step 4: Set filters to make them searchable in Slack
With the powerful BI Search, you can make all Tableau views searchable and viewable within Slack. In addition, you can also search within all filters. To do this you have to activate the feature for every Tableau view you would like to make "filter-searchable".

Try it out!

Try out Kiwi by typing in /kiwi into your Slack first. No worries, before you don't click "Share with channel", no one will see what you in Kiwi!
